Specialties - Cardiology

We have more than 10 years of experience running one of the top veterinary cardiology/respiratory services in the area.

We offer the latest veterinary cardiology advances in order to detect, cure or alleviate those diseases.

Those are the common symptoms of a cardiac/respiratory disease:

  • Couch: either weak or intense
  • Dyspnea: respiratory difficulties
  • Weakness / apathy: sometimes it can be related to age but can be an indicator of disease, too.
  • Exercise intolerance: the pet does not tolerate exercise, that he/she previosly did easily.
  • Syncope: a sudden and short loss of consciousness and postural tone followed by a quick recovery.

Radiography: The radiography is one of the most commonly used diagnostic tests to assess the heart, lungs and chest area.

Electrocardiograms: This test measures the electrical activity of the heart. It can detect for example arrhythmias, that are an electrical disturbance that alters the normal heart rhythm and can cause serious health effects of your pets.

Echocardiography: This diagnostic test enables us to see the structure of the heart at a highest resolution and do a higly specific diagnosis of the disease. It enables us to see both the structures of the heart (two-dimensional mode) as well as its hemodynamic function (Doppler mode). This test is very useful to detect masses or fluids in the chest cavity that cause difficult breath or cough in your pet.
